The idea behind exhale at home was first discussed in a chat over a pedicure. Lisa and Emily had known each other for years, first living in the same road, then Emily becoming Lisa’s client and then friend and now business Partner. Lisa, wanted to expand her beauty product offering from outside her salon in Essex to online and Emily was looking to engage her passion for skincare whilst utilising her marketing and online skills.

The idea was also much more than that, wanting exhale at home to bring together in one online boutique, brands which were truly championing natural, clean, cruelty free beauty and wellbeing. These brands would be chosen for delivering results whilst still always trading responsibly and with the utmost sustainability to the world around us. In essence, one place where you could order all your skincare and wellness rituals.

Lisa has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry as a fully trained beauty Therapist. Having spent much of her career as a beauty therapist in one of Essex’s most exclusive Spas, before opening her own successful beauty therapy salon, Exhale Beauty Therapy in Essex. Lisa uses many of the products featured here as part of her beauty treatments. Lisa wanted to be able to offer her clients products they can use at home to enhance their in salon treatments.

Emily had a career in marketing for over 14 years years before leaving it behind to start a family. Skincare having always been a passion and adopting a strict skincare regime of her own, Emily wanted to combine her skill set with something she had a keen interest in. Having two school-age children and juggling home, work and life she also recognises the importance of self-care and taking time for yourself to unwind and recenter.
